48 hours of Hairfest
This past weekend, I had the opportunity to share the stage at the Living Arts Centre in Mississauga with some of the biggest names in the Hair industry!
Here is a bit of a run-down of the fun-packed 48 hours!
8:00 am begin model prep bright and early
The artistic team completed around 30 consultations to see what style would be best for each model.
Hundreds of foils where placed in the models hair to remove there colour.
Finish up with models for the day and head back to the hotel to get ready for dinner with Robert, Mary and the rest of the artistic team.
Dinner at Alioli we spent the night chatting laughing and celebrating Mary Cuomo’s birthday.
Robert treated the entire team to an amazing evening while Mary and Anya made there way around the table learning how everyone came to be part of this global family.
11:30 Head back to hotel to get some rest for the big show!
Sunday October 2
Model prep begins again, removing colour then adding Vibrant pops of colour.
Rehearsal in Hammersmith Hall.
Show begins and Paul Mitchell team takes the stage a few minutes in the lights begin flicker and the theatre power cuts out.
The show must go on so everyone pulled out there phones and we continued to cut and colour as best we could.
A few moments later the fire alarm sounds and we are being told to evacuate the building!
Eventually we were allowed back in the building to finish the show and it truly will be one to remember.
I’m so thankful to have such great mentors in my life.
